The New York Daily News' crusade against the National Rifle Association heated up Monday, as the paper's front page depicted the gun group's longtime president, Wayne LaPierre, as an Islamic terrorist.

"Nowhere to hide, Jihadi Wayne," the paper's headline read.

The New York City-based news group has had it out for the NRA for some time now, as it has repeatedly accused the pro-Second Amendment group of enabling mass shooting events and other gun-related crimes.

The Daily News' latest gripe with the NRA centers on claims that the group is using its considerable influence to block a bill in Congress that would make it illegal to sell or transfer a firearm to persons on U.S. government's terrorist watch list.
