Conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer has endorsed Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina, but not for the job she's currently seeking.

In his latest Washington Post column, Krauthammer analyzed the GOP debate on Tuesday and said whoever becomes the party's nominee should seriously consider Fiorina, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO, as his running mate.

"Carly Fiorina, strong on stage but weak on campaign infrastructure, showed herself tough as nails — the perfect V.P.," Krauthammer wrote. "She can say things about [Democratic presidential candidate] Hillary Clinton that no man can. And she knows it."

Fiorina was a virtual unknown when she launched her campaign earlier this year. Her national poll numbers went up, however, after delivering standout performances at each of the primary debates since August.
