George Will told viewers Friday on “Special Report with Bret Baier” that when it comes to questions surrounding grey areas in candidate Ben Carson’s life story, “When your biography is your campaign as his is more than any other, then you better get it right.”
Carson has been denouncing the media for digging into his inspirational life story, but has been the center of controversy regarding an anecdote in his autobiography “Gifted Hands” and whether or not he was offered a full scholarship to West Point.
Will said that there are a number of other examples of times where Carson’s words have gotten him in trouble.
“He speaks in such modulated, dulcet tones that we tend to sometimes miss some of the harsh things he is saying,” Will said. “So he’s got a rhetorical record that is going to get more scrutiny.”
