George Will said Friday on "Special Report with Bret Baier" that Eric Shinseki was "obviously pushed" out as Veterans Affairs secretary.

Will, a Fox News contributor and syndicated columnist, said Shinseki's resignation is not likely to fix the problems at the VA, but will satisfy the American people outraged by the scandal.

"This is rough justice," he said. "The problem did not begin with him and will not be cured by his departure, but it serves the public's reasonable desire that there be some accountability because the public reasonably believes that when there's no penalty for failure, failures multiply."

Will also said that he found it "riveting" that the president said Shinseki was "unhappy because bad news did not get to him" and suggested this could be part of a broad systemic problem in the government system.
