Mabel Muñoz's parents brought her to the U.S. from Mexico when she was 8 years old, on a tourist visa. They ended up staying and eventually she attended Arizona State University, where she got a degree in biomedical engineering. Today, at 22, she has a wall full of academic awards, but no way to use her training because she is an undocumented immigrant.

She plans to apply for President Obama's Deferred Action program and hopefully find work in her field. Muñoz doesn't want to go back to Mexico because she barely remembers the country where she was born. She says the U.S. is her home now, even when others may not like it. For Mabel's complete story, watch the video above.
