Biden leaves open door to 2016 run, jokes about ticket with Clinton

Vice President Joe Biden pretended to drop a political bombshell during an interview on Sunday, joking that he and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton may form a ticket to run for the White House in 2016.

At the end of an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press," Biden was asked whether he or Clinton is more likely to run for president in 2016.

"I think we may run as a team," he said.

"I'm only joking, obviously," he quickly added with a laugh. The vice president, however, did not deny that either of the two is considering a White House bid in four years.

"I don't know," he said. "I don't know whether I'm gonna run and Hillary doesn't know whether she's gonna run."
