Congressional Calendar May 10, 2010

The Senate meets at 2:00 p.m. ET to start the workweek. They’ll be discussing financial regulatory overhaul measures, but it’ll be what may happen earlier in the day that will set the tone for the week.

There is an expectation that President Barack Obama may name his next appointee to the Supreme Court as early as today. If that happens, his nominee may start making the rounds on the Hill as early as this afternoon. …

The government’s newest plan to create green jobs, the so-called “Cash for Caulkers” program passed the House of Representatives Thursday. Now it has to make its way through the Senate.
