White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs says the President was briefed "six times yesterday" about the FBI Times Square bomb investigation and was "notified of Faisal Shahzad's arrest at 12:05 am.   John Brennan, the President's Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security, kept the Mr. Obama apprised throughout the day and night.

On Monday, the President spoke by phone with Duane Jackson, a street vendor who alerted authorities to a suspicious vehicle in New York's Times Square.  The President also called the police officer who was the first on the scene.
