House Rules Committee Chairwoman Louise Slaughter (D-NY) says she expects the Rules Committee to meet on the health care bill Friday. Rules is the next stop for the bill to prepare it for the floor.

That would potentially pit the vote at Saturday at the earliest.

Also, they could still post the bill to the House Rules Committee website sometime before that. That would initiate the 72 hour clock...which is how much time Democratic leaders have said they will provide before taking up the bill.

House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC)  says "We are not going to start counting until we get (CBO) numbers."
