Despite blizzard conditions in Washington, DC. Saturday, President Obama stuck to his schedule and spoke at the Democratic National Committee’s winter meeting. While others were hunkering down at home or shoveling out trapped cars, Mr. Obama told his fellow Democrats that he was not giving up on reforming health care and that the financial regulatory reform he is pitching will help improve the economy.
The President urged Democrats not to isolate themselves. It’s important for the two parties to join forces on things they agree on to get things done, he told the 450 or so gathered at the Capitol Hilton. “[W]e need to change the way we work with the other party.”
