RNC Narrows Convention Site List to Three

The Republican National Committee has narrowed its list of potential cities to host the 2012 Republican National Convention down to three final contenders.

National Republican insiders with knowledge of the process say the cities under consideration are Tampa, Phoenix and Salt Lake City.

The RNC's Site Selection Committee made the decision at a meeting last Friday in Hawaii as part of the RNC's winter meetings.

The final decision on the host city will be made sometime this spring.
