Senate will hold Bernanke vote by week's end

Clearly leaving room for senators to grab their pitchforks and air their concerns (Wall Street bashing; bailout bashing, etc) about the reappointment of Ben Bernanke to a 2nd term at the Fed, Reid spokesman Jim Manley will only say of the nomination, "Expect to have a vote to confirm by the end of the week."

As of now, Bernanke appears to have the votes for confirmation, but as the Senate's Democrat vote-counter Dick Durbin said this weekend -- he's not taking anything for granted on this vote.
