First Lady Michelle Obama turns 46 today and although she didn’t join President Obama in Boston to campaign for Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley, Mrs. Obama still got a birthday song from the crowd.

Martha Coakley, who is running for US Senate in Tuesday’s special election, finished up her introduction of the President by thanking him for taking the time to come up and speak to the crowd especially since it was his wife’s birthday. She then asked all those gathered at the campaign rally to sing Happy Birthday to the First Lady. She finished her birthday wishes to Michelle by saying, “behind every guy who wants to run for President is a terrific woman and Michelle Obama is that woman.”
The President celebrated Mrs. Obama’s birthday last night by taking her out for a surprise dinner at Restaurant Nora in Washington, D.C.
