President Obama is hosting some "hoopaholics" at the White House for a friendly game of basketball. These aren't just random people but members of his Cabinet and the House of Representatives. Some of the Representatives often play in pickup games in the House gym and one of Obama's Cabinet members, Education Secretary Arne Duncan, even played professionally in Australia. Most are basketball playing enthusiasts but one team will boast former Washington Redskins quarterback and North Carolina Representative Heath Shuler (D). Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner will have to put the nation's economy woes on hold as he plays hoops.

The political odds are in the democrats favor. Only two republicans were invited. Representatives Jeff Flake (R-AZ) and John Shimkus (R-IL) will be joining the President outside on the South Lawn for the game. Representative Shimkus, who often plays in bipartisan pickup games on Capitol Hill, said he was grateful for the invitation "I look forward to a competitive game and hope I don't embarrass myself on the court."

The White House admits to one oversight. No females were invited. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said, "the president's certainly played basketball and other sports with women in the past, and I anticipate he'll do so in the future."

Expected attendees include:

Secretary of Housing & Urban Development Shaun Donovan

Secretary of Education Arne Duncan

Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner

Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar

Representative Mike Arcuri (D-NY)
