At the end of a media availability with President Michelle Bachelet of Chile in the Oval Office, President Obama was asked by a member of the Chilean press whether he would take a photo with the group. "A photo with the Chilean press?...Okay" said Mr. Obama.

It was a scene that blurred the traditional American line between reporter and admirer. Some members of the Chilean press were so caught up in their excitement, that they left behind their own President for a moment, as they prodded Mr. Obama on when he might visit the country, arguing that he should come visit since "everybody loves you in Chile".

President Obama said "he'd love to visit" the country but as for when he might, he would only commit to "soon."
