(Los Angeles) President Barack Obama wrapped a west coast swing by hitting up donors for big money Wednesday night in Los Angeles, providing a progress report on his presidency and telling supporters they, "ain't seen nothing yet."

Mr. Obama headlined two events at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The first was an intimate, but expensive dinner for 250 people who forked over $30,400 per couple for the opportunity to hear the President and to eat a buffet dinner of organic chicken and kabachi ravioli.

"If it weren't for you, we would not be in the White House," he told the room full of Hollywood bigwigs and celebrities including Antonio Banderas, Steven Spielberg, Jamie Foxx and Marisa Tomei.

The second fundraiser drew 1,500 supporters who purchased tickets from $1,000-2,500 for the honor of hearing the President speak after performances by singer Jennifer Hudson and Earth,Wind and Fire - one the President's favorite bands.

The President was without a teleprompter at both events, even so he provided the same progress report of his achievements to both groups of donors to make the case for their financial contributions taking them through a list item by item of what his administration has done since January 20th.

He talked about the economic recovery package, the Lilly Ledbetter bill, reversing the ban on stem cell research, expanding children's health insurance, unfreezing credit markets, stabilizing the auto industry, reducing fuel emissions, reforming credit card industry practices and giving tax cuts to working families. "All in all some progress. We are doing okay," he said.

Mr. Obama capped his progress report with his most recent announcement of Sonia Sotomayor, his nominee for the Supreme Court. "This woman is brilliant! She is qualified! I want her confirmed," an enthusiastic Mr. Obama yelled, "and I want her walking up those marble steps!"

But he also admitted the past hundred days or so haven't been perfect, "although we have had our fits and starts," he explained, "and I'm sure we will have more, I've made some mistakes ... and I guarantee I'll will make more." He didn't specify what those mistakes were.

According to democratic official, the two events grossed an estimated $3 to 4 million for the Democratic National Committee.

Mr. Obama was scheduled to return to Washington on Thursday morning.
