Presidential candidates facing an electorate worried about the economy
The way people currently perceive America provides a very important backdrop to the upcoming GOP debates.
Interesting to note that although we are not in any kind of a major crisis right now -- a recession or major war -- the majority of Americans consistently say they don't see America moving in the right direction.
The most important issue facing Americans according to the Fox News poll this week -- the economy and jobs. Maybe that's because according to the Commerce Department and the American Enterprise Institute, the US is about to have its first 10-year period since World War II without at least one year of 3 percent growth.
Every election cycle we hear that Americans in the end will vote with their pocketbooks. But this time around it looks like the candidate who truly comes up with a plan to revitalize our economy and jobs -- will probably end up being the winner.
