The father of Abby Sunderland, the 16-year-old sailor awaiting rescue from her failed circumnavigation attempt, reportedly is broke and had a family reality show deal in hand before his daughter set off on her doomed adventure. This comes eight months after the parents of 6-year-old Falcon Heene engineered the “balloon boy” hoax in an attempt to get their own family reality show. Is this child abuse?
