      Afghan insurgents attacked the plane belonging to chairman of the U.S. joint chiefs of staff - U.S. Army General Martin Dempsey- on his visit to Afghanistan. (Remember Jennifer Griffin is traveling with him). Fortunately, no one was injured and the chairman was not near the plane when it was hit. Dempsey is in Afghanistan amidst growing concerns over attacks on U.S. and NATO troops by Afghan "partners."

      President Obama travels to Ohio today where he'll be attacking Mister Romney and VP pick Paul Ryan over possible budget cuts especially to education.

      President Obama made a surprise appearance at the W.H. briefing yesterday. Might be worth pulling some sound from that.
