What has Ferran Adrià been doing since shutting down possibly the most famous restaurant in the world, Spain’s El Bulli, this July? Well, he’s been very busy finishing a cookbook and cataloging the history of the restaurant, he told GQ. He also expressed a desire to visit Japan again. (“I tell everybody that you have to visit Japan before you die.") But this last week, he actually ended up in China, where he visited with Spanish chefs and said he was interested in learning new cooking techniques. Hmmm—could this be the latest step in opening up the rumored China branch of his new elBulliFoundation?
