Just in time for summer, the lux and sexy Brazilian swimwear line ViX, makes buying a new suit good for you and great for the people living along the Amazon River in Brazil. Collaborating with the socially and environmentally innovative bottled water company Nika, the two will launch the Agua Pura Brazil project—with the goal of raising 50K for thousands of people in need.

Agua Pura Brazil means “pure water Brazil” in Portuguese. For the month of June and July, ViX will donate $11 of each item sold from the Agua Pura Brazil section of their website. Both Nika and ViX have already donated 25K toward the 50K needed.

Our mission is to improve quality of life through clean water projects in underdeveloped countries, and Água Pura Brasil represents an important partnership and synergy of goals between Nika and ViX.

ViX swimwear is designed and manufactured in Brazil. Founder Paula Hermanny, from the beach town Vitoria, explaining where the name ViX comes from. The line has always been inspired by Brazil, but the Amazon inspires everything designed for Agua Pura Brazil. Ever since Tyra Banks graced the cover of several magazines wearing a ViX suit, a coterie of stylish celebs have followed--Jessica Biel, J Lo, Cindy Crawford, Kim Kardashian, and Selma Hayek to name a few.

“With this project, it takes just $11 to give one person sustainable and clean water, which drops the child mortality rates by half and provides improved sanitation and hygiene for entire communities. ViX’s Brazilian roots and Nika’s dedication to the impoverished makes Água Pura Brazil a very special, heartfelt project,” Hermanny says.

Nika Water is a premium bottled water company that donates 100% of its profits toward the world water crisis.

“Our mission is to improve quality of life through clean water projects in underdeveloped countries, and Água Pura Brasil represents an important partnership and synergy of goals between Nika and ViX,” says Jeff Church, founder of Nika Water.

According to World Vision, 2.6 billion—one in three—people around the world lack basic sanitation facilities, and 900 million—one in eight—people collect water from a contaminated source.  Every 7 seconds a child in the developing world dies of WASH-related (water, sanitation and hygiene) disease.

Of the 4,500 people the campaign hopes to impact, 3,500 are children under the age of ten.  World Vision, Nika Water’s partner and ViX’s charity of choice, will identify approximately 200 families across ten communities—offering education on sanitation and training people with simple-to-use and sustainable water filtration systems.

“Through these two organizations, our NGO World Vision, and the support of other sponsors and partners, we will be making a significant difference,” Church said. “And creating opportunities in the lives of many in need.”
