Gina DeJesus has been reunited with one of the dogs removed from the home where she was held captive for close to a decade.
DeJesus, 23, was found earlier this month along with Amanda Berry, Berry’s daughter and Michelle Knight after allegedly being held captive nearly 10 years in Ariel Castro’s home.
Castro is in jail, and faces several charges in the case. DeJesus formed a bond with the terrier mix named Lola, and an attorney representing her asked for help in reuniting the pair.
Last Friday, the attorney picked up Lola from the Cleveland Kennel on Gina’s behalf.
Two other dogs were rescued from the home. One is a Chihuahua named Dina. She weighs seven pounds and is thought to be about 5 years old.
The other dog is Drake, a Shih Tzu mix who weighs about 14 pounds and is about 3 years old.
Both will be up for adoption in about two weeks.
