Ladies, good news: pain does not equal beauty in the eyes of your man.

The trend of getting a Brazilian bikini wax is not what men prefer when it comes to “ladyscaping.”

A recent poll found most men prefer women to look as natural as possible down below.

Forty-three percent of the males in the survey said being “trimmed and tidy” is all the grooming ladies need to do.

Just 17 percent said they liked the Brazilian style bikini wax and only 12 said they prefer no hair at all.

Among the men who took part in the poll, commissioned by the Australia-based waxing brand Nads, was Mark Tailworth.

"I’d hate my wife not to have some hair,” Tailworth told The Daily Mail. “I much prefer her to be well trimmed than sporting some ridiculous, unsexy design."

And luckily for ladies, the news could not have come at a more perfect time.

Last month a letter published in the medical journal "Sexually Transmitted Infections” showed waxing may increase your risk of contracting a sexually transmitted infection.

Researchers from Archet Hospital in France and Emory University found a correlation between pubic hair removal and a viral infection called molluscum contagiosum.

Since the research was limited to a small study and shows just an association between hair removal and STI, more evidence is needed to prove if there is indeed a correlation between the two.

Yet despite the parameters of the findings, experts not involved in the study say the theory makes sense, since removing pubic hair could likely increase the risk of genital skin infections.
