Latin GRAMMYs: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
MY Lifestyle Magazine's fashionista team presents the best and worst dressed at the Latin GRAMMYs 2012.
The glamour and glitter of the green carpet, the superstar performances and celebrity parties - the 13th Annual Latin GRAMMY awards ceremony was an unforgettable celebration of music and culture. Now that it’s all over, people still can’t stop talking about the celebrity fashion choices.
At MY Lifestyle Magazine, our fashionista team presents the best and worst dressed at the Latin GRAMMYs 2012. First, we give you the top three.
Third goes to Spanish singer Shalia Dúrcal for her classy black gown. Impressive! The next honor goes to legendary singer Natalie Cole for her long hot pink dress. Cole presented an award at the show in Spanish and we think she did a fantastic job!
So who had the hottest look at the Latin GRAMMYs 2012? It’s a tie! Karent Sierra from the "Real Housewives of Miami" looked stunning. The honor also goes to Alejandra Espinoza who turned heads in a gown that, she admits, she picked up prior to the event and had no idea who the designer was! Congratulations ladies!
As for the bottom three, we give you singer Nelly Furtado, who wore a classy gown, but experts say it didn’t fit her outgoing personality.
Second worst place goes to singer Deborah De Corral. Her rocker look was nice, but way too casual for an occasion like the Latin GRAMMYs. Finally, the worst look goes to French-Chilean singer Ana Tijoux. Experts thought that her outfit was just too busy for the eye.
It was a special evening for all and when it comes to fashion, you win some and lose some. Felicidades to those who shined and better luck next time to those who didn’t. MY Lifestyle Magazine President and CEO Elizabeth Ortiz was one of the top 25 best dressed on the green carpet, according to Terra.com. Managing Editor Carlos Anaya also received a nod for best dressed at Billboard.com for his suit by Colombian Designer Edwing D’Angelo.
On another note, far away from the glitz of Las Vegas, MY Lifestyle Magazine was also at an event in New York City with actor Wilson Cruz, known for his role as Rickie Vasquez on the hit 1990s show “My So-Called Life.” Cruz was part of a panel of experts announcing the findings of a new study by Prudential on the financial standing of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in the U.S.
The study showed that LGBT people are confident of their overall financial health, but are concerned about certain areas like retirement. Cruz, who works with GLAAD, said that he hopes that communities of color can start taking a bigger role in their financial futures by investing and saving money.
