This week on Being Latino on Facebook we announced our partnership with Hispanicize, as together we become the most influential Latino social media community platform.
This partnership will help provide an even more accessible platform in which to facilitate discussions on Latino issues, as well as non-Latino issues that are still relevant to us. One such example is the Cornell banning of pledging by Greek letter organizations, which unintentionally highlights the good example that Latino/Latina Greek Letter Organizations have set with their inclusiveness and community-minded standards.
We went from serious to random and shared something everyone can use: great cleaning tips from our self-taught expert who learned by trial and error.
We also discussed an always-prevalent Latino issue: hair. In Pelo Bueno o Pelo Malo the author gets to the root of the matter and asks the question, “Who decided that course hair was malo anyway?”
While we may not be able to answer that question with any degree of certainty, we do know that it’s a reminder of our African heritage; something that a certain comic would do well to remember.
Being Latino is a communication platform whose mission is to educate and connect all peoples across the global Latino spectrum. Being Latino is the largest fan page for Latinos on Facebook.
