A beautiful red example of the Z1 that's only seen 197 kilometers (122 miles) of use is going up for auction this month via Silverstone Auctions in the UK. Never registered, and barely driven, this is a museum-quality car, and it’s expected to sell for somewhere between £50,000-£60,000 (or about $84,000-$100,000).
Bearing chassis number 06057, this Z1 sports everything that made the sporty, low-production roadster special : the M20B25 four-cylinder borrowed from the 325i of the era, the pressed-steel-and-zinc-welded body structure, the lightweight plastic body panels, the unique downward-sliding doors.
