Officials with the North Carolina Education Lottery say a woman battling breast cancer is celebrating her second big lottery win this year.

A statement from the lottery says Gina Short of Mecklenburg County won the top prize of $250,000 in the All or Nothing game on April 29. Short said she and her husband checked the ticket several times because they thought they had misread it.

In February, lottery officials say Short won $1 million in the Ultimate Millions second-chance drawing.

According to the lottery statement, Short was diagnosed with breast cancer six years ago and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Len Short said the winnings will be used for his wife because she is the priority.
