A newborn pair of conjoined twin boys are recovering from surgery at a Jacksonville hospital.

Michelle Brantley previously told WTLV-TV (http://bit.ly/1wz5YYu ) that she was "excited but nervous" about the scheduled birth of her sons later this week. However, family members say Brantley went into labor early and the boys were born shortly before midnight Friday.

Brantley's sons were named Conner and Carter. The twins were transferred to Wolfson Children's Hospital, where relatives say they had surgery Saturday to repair some organ damage.

Brantley has said the boys were expected to remain conjoined for the time being. She was expected to be released from the hospital Sunday evening.
