A Colorado woman was surprised earlier this week when she gave birth to a baby girl that weighed 13 pounds 13 ounces.
Alisha Hernandez was expecting a 7 pound baby and was scheduled to have a cesarean on Thursday, but instead went into labor on Monday, according KUSA.
Hernandez welcomed her daughter Mia Yasmin Garcia via cesarean. She was 22 inches long.
The mother’s cousin told the news agency that Hernandez and the baby were flown to the Children’s Hospital in Aurora because of respiratory difficulties and low glucose levels. She added that Mia was now stable.
Mia joins four older sisters Britney Gonzalez, Ximena Hernandez and Yulissa and Yuliana Hernandez. Francisco Garcia is the proud dad.
