She looks very good and poses with her three young kids, but 16,000 comments and 12,000 plus shares later, mother Maria Kang is defending herself.

The photo in question has Maria in a sports bra, looking very fit, with the title, "What's Your Excuse?" Many viewers took offense to what they thought was the message. Some thought it was an attack on overweight people.

For example, Michelle Wyatt, comments, "I'm not fat so please don't take it as I'm ‘miserable' and ‘unhappy' with myself, but not everybody wants to look just like you!! Just saying! Posting pics of yourself and your hot body and telling everybody that they don't have an excuse and that they should look just like you is NOT ok! We all can see that you have a hot body, but posting pics and telling people that they should look just like you will only make them feel worse about themselves when they realize that they can't!!"

Kang later wrote a little apology. It reads, in part, "The first step in owning your life, your body and your destiny is to OWN the thoughts that come out of your own head. I didn't create them. You created them. So if you want to continue ‘hating' this image, get used to hating many other things for the rest of your life."

Many people are now coming to Kang's defense in the comments.
