At just 9-year-old, Nikolas Toocheck has already established himself as a record breaking runner.

"I've done over 100 races in my racing career," Toocheck told FOX 29's Stephanie Esposito.

But for the fourth grader, running isn't just for fun. Toocheck says he is running towards a goal of taking a million steps and raising a $1 million for his grandfather's charity.

"I'm running a marathon on each of the seven continents, supporting Operation Warm. It's a non-profit organization that provides new coats to kids who can't afford it."

Toocheck estimates it will take  a million steps to run seven marathons.

His first full marathon took place in Delaware and later next month, Toocheck says he plans to run his second marathon in Antarctica.

Toocheck's parents say they keep a close eye on their son's health.
