McKinley’s Delight

This cocktail was created for William McKinley at the GOP convention during his presidential run.

Ingredients:

3 ounces rye whiskey (shoot for at least 100 proof)

1 ounce sweet vermouth

2 dashes of cherry brandy

1 dash of absinthe

Preparation:

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine all of the ingredients.

Shake vigorously until chilled. Pour into a rocks glass with fresh ice.
