This is a traditional yogurt based drink, which I have flavored with some sweet cardamom pods. Nothing can be more satisfying than a chilled glass of sweet lassi during warm summer days. You can make several variations of it by adding fruits like strawberry, mango or peach. Nuts like almonds or pistachios can be combined with saffron to make it richer in flavor.

Ingredients:

1 cup low fat yogurt

1 cup cold milk

5 tablespoon sugar

4 pods green cardamom, slightly crushed

1 tablespoon pistachios, slightly pounded

1/2 cup ice cubes

Preparation:

Mix the yogurt, milk, sugar and cardamom in a blender.

Serve in tall glasses garnished with pistachios.
