Served at Mother's Ruin bar in New York City, this twist on a traditional margarita delivers a powerful fresh and herbal punch courtesy of cucumber and mint. The unaged tequila reinforces the green flavors and packs a hell of a wallop along the way. Even better – no food coloring is required to get a gorgeous green color that leaves little doubt what you're celebrating.
- 2 Oz. Herradura Silver tequila
- .75 Oz. lime juice
- .75 Oz. simple syrup
- 4 Slices cucumber
- 6-8 mint leaves
- Place the cucumber and mint into a shaker and crush gently with a muddler or the back of a spoon. Then add ice and the rest of the ingredients and shake until ice cold.
- Strain the drink into a chilled rocks glass rimmed with salt – just like a traditional margarita, but greener.
