Kanon Saft

(Kanon Organic Vodka)

This is Apotheke bartender Nick O'Connor's take on the Swedish fruit drink.  Saft in many Scandinavian languages means juice. The fruit makes this a refreshingly sweet cocktail, but don't get fooled by the smooth taste of the vodka.  There is alcohol in there.

Ingredients:

2 Fl oz Kanon Organic Vodka

4 Blackberries

5 Blueberries

1/2 Oz lime juice

1/2 Oz simple syrup

Dime size piece of ginger

Preparation:

Muddle berries and ginger in a shaker. Add the rest of the ingredients and shake with ice. Strain into glass with ice. Top with soda water.

Garnish with a blueberry and a black berry.
