This sinfully rich and moist stuffing, perfected by our friends at A Beautiful Mess, features a wonderfully fragrant medley of eggs, spices, tart granny smith apples, and plenty of bourbon and bacon. This one could give the main course some competition.

“I’m not sure if you should pick favorites, but this was my favorite dish,” explains A Beautiful Mess blogger Emma, who created the recipe for her friends to try before this year’s Thanksgiving Day feast. “I mean, come on, it’s got bacon, bourbon, and bread. What’s not to love?”

“My only regret was not making more because it sure went fast,” she says. “Which is the best compliment any cook can receive.”
