Fall may be officially here, but who says you still can’t indulge in succulent lobster from summer’s past?

For those chilly autumn nights, it’s difficult to resist a warm bowl of gooey mac and cheese, but when it features hearty chunks of lobster, staying indoors for dinner can be a major treat. Emma of A Beautiful Mess discovered just that when she decided to whip up her lobster baked macaroni and cheese, which is inspired by one of her favorite dishes at a local upscale restaurant.

“We are big fans of baked macaroni around our house, so I figured I’d start working on my own version of this celebration meal,” explains Emma. “I added crackers shaped like lobsters. It just felt right,” she adds.

“For the lobster crackers, I used my usual cheese cracker recipe and added red food coloring,” she says. “I got a lobster cookie cutter on Amazon.com. You can totally make these a day or two ahead and just store them in an airtight container until you make the mac and cheese.”

For her recipe, Emma chose imitation lobster meat, but you can make your meal seafood-licious with the real thing. Whichever you choose, it's certain to be an instant favorite for the season.
