To paraphrase Mark Twain, perhaps “Reports have been greatly exaggerated.”

Val Kilmer, who played the author in the one-man show “Citizen Twain,” was revealed to be battling oral cancer by Michael Douglas, a survivor himself, at a London Q&A. But friends of Kilmer’s tell Page Six that he’s doing well and getting back to work after battling the disease.

Kilmer has previously denied reports he was in ill health.

He’s scheduled to appear Nov. 10 and 17 at two screenings of his film “Cinema Twain,” based on his live show, in LA. Kilmer is also working on an art career and is displaying a sculpture, which is selling for $150,000 at Just One Eye boutique in LA.
