Clark Kent will have even more backup in Smallville's final season as Justice League member Aquaman is returning for November sweeps.

Alan Ritchson, who last appeared in Season 8, is set to reprise the role of Aquaman (aka Arthur "AC" Curry) in Episode 9, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Smallville Exclusive: General Lane, Lucy Lane to return

The final season of Smallville is loading up on returning players. Jonathan Kent (John Schneider), Supergirl (Laura Vandervoort), Hawkman (Michael Shanks), Brainiac (James Marsters), Lionel Luthor (John Glover), General Lane (Michael Ironside) and Lucy Lane (Peyton List) are among the familiar faces.

The news was first reported by Entertainment Weekly.

Smallville's 10th and final season premieres Friday, Sept. 24 at 8/7c on the CW.
