Academy Awards head Cheryl Boone Isaacs e-mailed members on Thursday to put a positive spin on the Oscars — including praising presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway — while vowing of the accountants who botched the Best Picture presentation, “Changes will be implemented.”

“It’s now been a few days since what was one of the best — and certainly most dramatic and talked about — Oscar ceremonies of all time,” Isaacs wrote alongside a list of the show’s successes, from its producing team to host Jimmy Kimmel and performers Justin Timberlake, Lin-Manuel Miranda and John Legend.

She said the epic envelope confusion was “caused by the failure of [PricewaterhouseCoopers] accountants to follow established protocols and their delay in immediately remedying the situation,” and, “Rest assured changes will be implemented to ensure this never happens again.”

Isaacs said that amid the onstage confusion, the filmmakers behind “Moonlight” and “La La Land” showed “the strength of the bond that connects all the artists in our community.”
