Tim Tebow revealed to People magazine that his father is battling Parkinson’s disease, which has the former football star reflecting on his love life.
The 29-year-old has been busy starting a new career in baseball, but he told People he wants to make finding a wife a priority so he can start a family.
“I want my kids to know my dad and to learn the same lessons from him that I did,” he told the mag. “That would make me happy.”
He said he wants to make time for love.
“Baseball takes a lot of time, and it’s not like I don’t have several other full-time jobs. But I’m definitely ready for a relationship and I’m looking forward to it,” he said. “I can’t wait for that, and I can’t wait to have kids.”
The athlete said he has faith that God will present him with his wife.
“I can’t wait, but I think it’s something that I’ll have to trust God for. He’ll bring someone along at the right time. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t want it, though!”
