Some fans of slain Tejano star Selena have flooded social media with complaints after her new makeup products sold out on the first day of online sales.
MAC Cosmetics launched its Selena collection on Friday in Corpus Christi, Texas, the singer's hometown. The collection went on sale Saturday on the company's website. Frustrated fans soon took to Twitter to complain about being greeted by error messages when they tried to complete their purchases. MAC announced Saturday night that they were sold out.
MAC said the collection will be available again through the websites of several major retailers beginning Monday. It will make its debut in stores Thursday.
Selena Quintanilla-Perez was fatally shot by her fan club's president, Yolanda Saldívar, in 1995. Saldivar is serving a life sentence.
