Kit Harington looks nearly unrecognizable after shaving off his trademark beard. The 29-year-old actor debuted his clean-shaven look when he snapped a few photos with fans in London, England, where he's currently starring in the play, "Doctor Faustus."

Once the Twitterverse got word of Harington's new look, "Game of Thrones" fans paid their respects to the TV star's beloved facial hair. "Kit Harington shaved his beard and I could feel the tears in my eyes," one Twitter user wrote.
"Kit Harington looks so emo with long hair and no beard," another tweet reads.
Not all "GoT" fans are opposed to Harington's bare face. "Even without his beard, Kit Harington is perfect," Twitter user, Winterfell's My Home, wrote.

The actor's decision to shave his beard comes after he told the Sunday Times that he's more than just a pretty face. "I like to think of myself as more than a head of hair or a set of looks. It's demeaning. Yes, in some ways you could argue I’ve been employed for a look I have," he told the U.K. publication. "But there’s a sexism that happens towards men.”
