Kiefer Sutherland is a man of many unexpected talents.

The “24” star announced his debut album on Thursday, in addition to a 26-city tour, which begins on April 14. Sutherland’s 11-track album “Down in a Hole” is described as “folk-tinged.”

“It’s the closest thing I’ve ever had to a journal or diary,” Sutherland said. “All of these songs are pulled from my own personal experiences. There is something very satisfying about being able to look back on my own life, good times and bad, and express those sentiments in music. As much as I have enjoyed the writing and recording process, I am experiencing great joy now being able to play these songs to a live audience, which was something I hadn’t counted on.”

Though the TV star will be focusing much of his time on the tour, fear not, Jack Bauer fans — while Sutherland is not attached to appear onscreen in Fox’s revival of “24” (though insiders say he is expected to serve as an exec producer), he is returning to full-time television with an ABC political drama, “Designated Survivor,” which landed a straight-to-series order and will premiere during the 2016-17 TV season.

Sutherland is not the first actor to moonlight as a musician. He joins the ranks of Jeff Bridges and Johnny Depp, who are just some of the actors who spend their free time touring with music. Depp, for one, recently performed at the Grammys.
