Gina Rodriguez was so excited that Britney Spears was joining her on "Jane the Virgin" that she fell out of her chair.
"Literally fell out my chair @britneyspears I can not wait to work with you beauty! I'm covered in goosebumps. This is unreal!!!" she tweeted, after learning that the pop singer was guest starring on the hit show.
Spears, 33, said it was a dream come true to be a guest star in an upcoming episode of the Golden Globe-nominated series.
“See u at the Marbella Hotel soon, @hereisgina @jaimecamil! Guest starring on one of my favorite shows EVER @CWJaneTheVirgin #DreamComeTrue,” Spears tweeted.
Spears will play herself, who happens to be Jaime Camil’s character, Rogelio de la Vega’s, nemesis.
“Jane” executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman said the opportunity for Spears to appear on the show came after she heard the pope singer was a huge fan of the show.
Spears will appear on the fifth episode of the second season which premieres Oct. 12 at 9pm EDT on The CW.
