An Oklahoma man stranded in waist-deep water on a flooded road was singing a happy tune after country music star Blake Shelton came to his rescue.

Shelton gave Roho Hartman, of Ardmore, a lift home after Hartman’s truck stalled out in flooded waters from Tropical storm Bill, Fox & Friends reported Saturday.

Hartman was trying to push his truck home Thursday night when Shelton happened by in a Dodge truck with a tow rope.

“The guy said, ‘Are you ready?’” Hartman told KFOR-TV. “I thought…that looks like Blake Shelton.”

Shelton towed Hartman's truck up a hill. But Hartman was far from home.

“I said, 'Hey, could you give me a ride home?'” Hartman told the station. “He said ‘Where do you live?’…I said, ‘Just right over yonder.'”

Shelton told him to hop in.

On the way home Hartman got a call from his wife, looking for him.

“I said you wouldn’t believe it, Blake Shelton pulled me out,” Hartman said. “Told her, ‘You better slick up, we’ll be there in just a minute.'”

At the house, Hartman and his wife grabbed a few photos with Shelton before the singer got back on the road.
