Robert Van Winkle -- also known as vanilla Ice -- accepted a plea deal in a Florida court Thursday in which he will do 100 hours of community service and pay more that $1,000 in restitution in exchange for grand theft charges being dropped.
Van Winkle was charged with burglary and grand theft for a residential burglary that took place between December 2014 and February 2015 in which he took furniture, a pool heater, bicycles and other items from a Florida home he believed to be vacant.
“I’m glad to have this behind me and move forward to do positive things,” Van Winkle said.
The rapper-turned-house-flipper will perform his community service with Habitat for Humanity.
