Gwyneth Paltrow is just like us -- or so she says.

The 42-year-old actress appeared on "CNN Money" on Tuesday and was eager to chat about her thriving lifestyle website Goop that she says caters to the "common woman" -- despite the expensive price tags on the products and beauty treatments being promoted (i.e. the steam douche).

"I'm incredibly close to the common woman in that I'm a woman and I'm a mother and we all are in a physical body with beating hearts with compassion and love we are all seekers," she explained. "We all want fulfillment, we all want to live our best lives. We want to be healthy and happy and squeeze the most we can out of life. I think that's all women."

Paltrow added that she plans to be more active on Goop in the coming year, but still doesn't want to be seen as a "guru," unlike her frenemy Martha Stewart. "I see myself as an actor and a mother and as an entrepreneur," the Iron Man actress continued. "I don't see myself as a guru at all. I'm not a guru because I'm the one asking the questions. I'm not purporting to know anything."
