"Scandal" star Columbus Short could really use a professional fixer.
The actor has reportedly found himself in the type of sticky situation his fictional boss Olivia Pope would likely rectify in a jiffy, but unfortunately he is on his own with this one.
TMZ reports that the 31-year-old star is in trouble with the law because of his involvement in a bar brawl that sent one man to the hospital.
According to the site, Short was at a bar in Los Angeles on March 15 for an engagement party when another patron provoked him and the two began to fight.
A witness told TMZ Short "came up from behind and sucker punched the guy," leaving him unconscious for several minutes with a broken nose.
Law enforcement sources told the site criminal battery is being investigated.
A rep for Short did not return FOX411's request for comment.
