Elisabeth Hasselbeck will make her debut as co-host of the Fox News Channel’s top-rated “Fox & Friends” morning show on Monday, Sept. 16, Bill Shine, Executive Vice President of Programming for FOX News, announced on Thursday.

The former co-host of “The View,” who will interview key newsmakers, celebrities and politicians in her new role, will appear on the show the same day “Fox & Friends” unveils a redesigned set. She will join current co-hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade, who have been working together on the morning show since 1998.

Hasselbeck announced she would be leaving “The View” for “Fox & Friends” back in July.

“Elisabeth’s warm and engaging personality made her a star on ‘The View,’” Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes said earlier this summer. “She has proven to be an excellent conversationalist, and I am certain she will make a great addition to our already successful morning franchise.”

Hasselbeck has said it is an “honor” to call Fox News Channel her new TV home.
